The Penn Lab welcomes this year’s summer students Gazelle Halajha (left) and Emily Thorburn-Winsor (right)!
Gazelle is a third year undergraduate student in the Health Sciences program at McMaster University, with a specialization in Child Health and Development. She is eager to gain more experience in cancer research. She is working with Dr. Jason de Melo on characterizing MYC stability mechanisms.
Emily is going into her fourth year of her Bachelor at the University of Toronto majoring in neuroscience and minoring in human physiology and psychology. She will be working on statins and DP-like drugs and support Jenna van Leeuwen and Dr. Mohamad Elbaz in their projects.
